Tegernsee on a budget

As a popular destination, staying at lake Tegernsee can be a little more costly than other parts of Bavaria. However, there are a number of affordable options.

Choosing a town to stay

While the city of Rottach-Egern has a number of hotels in walking-distance to the venue, many of them have mid to high prices. A much more affordable corner of lake Tegernsee is Bad Wiessee (Western shore). You can reach the venue from Bad Wiessee in 10 minutes by car.

You might also choose to stay in Munich, which is an hour away from the venue and has countless accommodation options. Finally there are a number of smaller cities between Tegernsee and Munich.
